Osborne recently revealed on LinkedIn that he's decided to leave Jagex after 15 years of editing content as well as narrative design and lead design OSRS Gold For Sale. He made the decision in order to "test his experience in the other field." Osborne is leaving Jagex and will be joining Square Enix on the publishing side, as a Senior Designer. He'll be in charge of "some fantastic games," beginning with Outriders.

The revelation prompted Redditor FatNWackyRS to contact members of r/Outriders with an easy message about Mod Osborne and his role as the "warm and friendly "Dad" face at Jagex." FatNWackyRS describes everything that Osborne has contributed to the community over the years, including some clips, like appearing as Mod Elfborne, promoting Prifddinas (an Elf City in Runescape) and joining livestreams and contributing to Jagex's mission.

While some communities or gamers would be upset about losing a well-known company name, FatNWackyRS invited other Runescape players to discuss their experiences. One person, in particular, declares that they've lost and won when playing both Runescape together with Outriders. Some were thrilled by this news, some of whom had never played with Osborne before, due to this glowing review from a member of the Runescape community.

In fact, what exactly will happen on his edge of the Outriders fence is yet to be determined, but the fans are aware of a number of good things are expected to come for the franchise. Outriders' Worldslayer expansion is expected to be revealed in the spring, and is scheduled to launch this year and beyond runescape 2007 gold. People Can Fly has a ton of other projects being developed, including a game with Square Enix. What happens if Osborne will be involved in that, though, remains to be confirmed.
