One of the new defensive players is Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, who captured a Super Bowl championship as a member of the 1985 Chicago Bears. The 6-foot linebacker's cards include 94 Power Moves and 93 Block Shedding. It also includes Play Recognition 92, 91 Tackling, and 91 Speed. Singletary also gets an archetype called the Field General Archetype in the card.
Two more legends are also part of the publication. It includes four-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame wide receiver Lynn Swann (Steelers) and two-time Super Bowl champ Vince Wilfork (Patriots). Swann is being a Route Runner, will have 94 Spectacular Catch as well as Catching with a 93-speed. Wilfork, one of the Run Stopper archetype, has an 94 Strength, 93 Power Moves as well as 93 Block Shedding within his attributes.
The brand new Madden 22 Bo Knows Legends cards are part of the promotion which was launched earlier in the month. The Bo Knows promotion honors the sportsman with two talents, Bo Jackson, with a new digital cover of the game and different features. The game comes with Ultimate Team, that's included several upgraded cards for Bo whom, as many fans know, is a football fanatic.
The first batch consisting of Bo Knows Legends players arrived last week. That group consisted of Dan Dierdorff, Iverson Walls, Charle Young, and Bruce Smith. Each was given an Power Up item, 85 OVR, together with the 94 OVR cards as part of the game. This should also happen with those in the next group.
These new Legends products are scheduled to be released on Ultimate Team on Monday, November 29th in conjunction with the promotion. The other recent promotions launched in Madden have included a Thanksgiving themed promotion with Blitz in addition to Team of the Week which launches weekly.
Based on our model and the latest set of data2 released in the Madden website, it was possible to identify several players against whom Madden and a more model-based approach seem to be at odds, and the results are interesting.
Injecting human judgment into a grading system isn't necessarily a bad thing. Daniel Sorensen is a good example.
