Both games will draw an inspiration from RuneScape's world of fantasy

So many of us have lovely childhood memories of running around Gielinor but not because a big company sold us an item instead because three brothers had an intense passion along with their parents, who believed in their children. People like that are who are to be credited with their memories. They are not higher-ups in Amazon and Activision Blizzard with RS Gold.

Steamforged Games is announcing an alliance with the creator Jagex for the purpose of bringing RuneScape to tabletops later this year. The MMORPG will be getting not just one, but two new tabletop games: a tabletop game as well as a tabletop role-playing game. The board game will launch on Kickstarter sometime this year, and the tabletop version will immediately hit stores.

Both games will draw an inspiration from RuneScape's world of fantasy, Gielinor. They will make use of all the stories, characters, and locales in which the MMORPG has made famous in its lengthy time. The board game takes up or five people on a journey across the land of Gielinor.

In the announcement from Steamforged, players play "craft and upgrade their equipment as well as upskill their characters prepare unique recipes, connect with NPCs and test their skills while exploring various regions of the globe". Just as with the online MMORPG, players are also likely to encounter side-quests that enhance the world of the game.

While the TTRPG will comprise a beautifully illustrated core book packed with all the information needed to run an RuneScape TTRPG. Players can build their own characters as they set off to the realm of Gielinor to design "unique and exciting quests". Additionally, the TTRPG primary book will be "fully compatible with the rules of fifth edition of the world's most loved role playing tabletop game".

This will be the first time that RuneScape will be accessible on a non-digital platform It's something Jagex chief executive Phil Mansell is excited about:

"After nearly 21 years of being exclusively available digitally It's incredibly exciting to be collaborating with Steamforged to design and publish RuneScape role-playing adventures to tabletop games...I am confident that RuneScape or Old School RuneScape players will be thrilled to play with the planned miniatures and create their own adventure."

Of course, if you are looking to transition from video game to tabletop and want to make the switch, then Steamforged Games is a perfect partner to accomplish this. The fan of board games has made several games from video into tables, such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Resident Evil and Dark Souls with Cheap RS Gold. With the company at the helm the new RuneScape venture is sure to please players young and old.
