What's missing that we're not getting

Another crucial aspect of the offseason overhaul is in the changes made in the scouting process. The ability to scout more positions as you progress through each level of the scouting process. According to EA with Mut 23 coins, here are the positional groupings. I'm not certain where quarterbacks will be placed however I'm pretty sure there's a spot for the top players on the field.

RB is a reference to Running Backs (Halfbacks and Fullbacks)

OT: Offensive Tackles (Left Tackles and Right Tackles)

IOL: Interior Offensive Linemen (Left Guards, Centers and Right Guards)

DE: Defender Ends (Left Ends , and right Ends)

OLB: Outside Linebackers (Left Outside Linebackers and Right Outside Linebackers)

S Safety (Free safeties as well as strong Safeties)

The attribute reveal method is being created to provide more useful information more often. The displays were too random and therefore unimportant in older versions. Another important addition to Scouting and the draft is the enhancement of draft class differences. Have a look at a few of the profiles of players that will be available in draft classes.

Generational Prospects

Generationals are just as they sound. These templates are based on the once-in-a-generation prospects that have taken the league by storm. These players will join the league highly rated by the standards of prospects and also come with a guaranteed X-Factor DEV characteristic. However this group of players not have the best chance of generating out of all of our templates, so they will be difficult to find but are worth the time.

99 Club Prospects

They will not be the overall players. 99 Club Prospects are athletes who have the ability to bring elite talent towards the NFL. We wanted these players to be fun but also fairly realistic. This is why you won't see anyone entering the league who have a 99 rating for pass accuracy or 99 awareness. There may be an QB with 99 throw power, or a receiver with 99 Spectacular Catch, or even a safety with 99 hit power. But that doesn't indicate that they're elite players. All it means is that they are skilled at a certain ability.

High Variance Outlook

HIgh Variance prospects are true boom or bust investors. These prospects have wider than typical ranges on their intangible characteristics, which increases the volatility associated with their OVR. This process of thinking extends to their DEV feature where we've given these players essentially 50% chance of becoming one of two: Normal or Superstar with a slim chance of being Star and Superstar X-Factor.

Specialist Prospects

Specialist prospects are those who are outside the box and are able to break the stereotypes of archetypal prospects. They could be special to their specific position or specialize in a certain area. This type of prospect includes quarterbacks who excel in play action, edge , and interior rushers with little size and linebackers who excel as run stoppers or in pass coverage , but are not the most appealing alternative.

What's missing that we're not getting

I had conversations with Connor Dougan and Clint Oldenburg of the Madden development team to confirm a few issues that weren't addressed in the initial reveal of the franchise mode. In Madden 23 it's the NFL Draft still won't have the same kind of high-quality presentation that people believe is appropriate to the most exciting day of the football season. We're also unable to make teams or change divisions as you do in NBA 2K's MyNBA. There's no way to add the feature of legends that are included in Ultimate Team in franchise mode. This feature is included in NBA 2K and MLB The Show's franchise modes.

Many Madden fans, including buy madden 23 coins creator Eric Rayweather are looking for some kind of distinction between the major games as well as the playoffs. Rayweather offers a wide range of interesting, yet missing features for this franchise-based mode. Mini Camp Drills? Yes, absolutely. Create-A-Team? Yep. Even with these limitations, it's difficult not to see the improvement made by the fan-favorite mode. While this is an impressive growth but fans of franchise modes would likely love to have EA complete the game by making further improvements post-release as well as the last actions taken to prepare for Madden 24.
