Many are wondering whether it is worthwhile to 2K MT purchase the next-generation version of NBA 2K21 if they already own it on PlayStation 4 or even Xbox One, or when the game is any good at all. I've played with a ton of NBA 2K21 on current-gen, but I confess , I experienced it with one foot out the door in anticipation of the next-gen release. I've been lucky enough to have access to this next-gen version for awhile, and I've already logged an obscene number of hours on it in a number of modes.
Let us take a look at the good, bad and the base line with all the next-generation version of NBA 2K21. Mostly Beautiful Visuals - a few of those renders and screenshots that you could pull are simply amazing. Even displays of objects, legs, hands, shoes, etc. . sometimes cause an even longer double take than we've seen in previous games. I had heard one of those console manufacturers felt 2K was the very beautiful next-gen match, and I could see why. With the exception of a few factors--which I'll discuss shortly--2K on next-gen looks incredible. Most of the videos you will see on YouTube do not do the sport justice because of system limits for shooting. It looks fantastic on a 4K display with HDR and the right color balance.
Watching the players and objects move on the court is an amazing visual. It appears a little over-dramatic, but basic movements and physics like that in 2K are awe-inspiring. Stunning Environments - To put a bow on the visual adore, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the environments. They're as alive as I've ever seen in any sports movie game. It seems like the arenas are a living organism and if you've ever been to a live NBA game, you realize how occupied the construction is all the while the players are on the field playing, and the training team are doing their thing on the sidelines. 2K21 on next-gen accurately captures that hustle and bustle, and it is best appreciated during the pre-game festivities.
Inconsistent Renders - a few of this player renders are directly port ups from current-gen, and also a good number of them weren't all that true about these consoles. Some of the players with darker complexions have been baked to a level which makes them appear almost incredibly dark. That said, it appears help is on the way with players being scanned. Still a fantastic Amount of Clipping - Among the things I'd hoped to see less of about next-gen was clipping. Sad to say, the next-gen version of Buy 2K21 MT has just as much passthrough as the current-gen edition. Don't get me wrong, I know it is practically impossible to eliminate this entirely. However, as it's such a generally referenced issue, I felt that I had to notify everyone who has yet to play the game, that clipping is still present.
