My concept is a dev wrote up that part together with the intent to make it sound as shitty as possible to shine a light on how bad the situation has gotten. Yep. This is Madden 21 coins actually the EA playbook. It's why battle V is crap this year. A way they could change everything back and say that they"corrected" things then Battlefield 6 is going to be a way better game. EA does so all of the time. This is amazing they responded, be positive, but do not get your hopes up too much. But I'm praying they provide something great this year. It's just lip service and damage management. We have heard the exact same thing for decades about franchise style. It's only a corporate cover your bum PR message to try and get the heat off them. The sport is only weeks from release... It is realistically impossible that they'd have time and resources to develop anything new to franchise in that moment.
At best this could mean they will attempt to take since stuff on in a patch sometime by the winter, or more likely, they're just hoping it's blown over and forgotten and they won't really do anything. The game comes out next month. Like let's be true, most of us know how shitty a job this group does. They can't even get basic things like stats right. Are we really gont be optimistic they'll put in significant enough work in per month for fixing something they have actively ignored for like 10 years? Every patch they do breaks multiple items. This patch for Madden 21 franchise definitely already broke many items and now they are just gonna attempt to resolve people in one single patch. At this time we deserve greater thickness than PSP Maddens. At minimum.
We could design plays & employ OCs and DCs on psp ten years ago. Wtf happened ? Even the GBA Maddens had Madden Cards and Mini Camp. I really don't buy anything until I see It in the game, but something was stated. Hopefully it is true. Remember when community files was broken and they barley said a word for weeks? "We understand how important franchise is to our neighborhood" yet you did absolutely nothing to enhance this season. It is only lip service just like the NFL telling us that they renewed their licenses arrangement with EA because they liked their plan going forward. Scripted response. One thing that's good with them saying some thing is if nothing happens their asses will get flamed from the neighborhood if nothing really happens. Doubt it. They'll throw the neighborhood a bone and it will be same shit different roster. If they say it themselves they'll fix it then they likely will. EA might not be the best at taking fan criticism or hints but when they encounter heavy fire they fold and only give in. Biggest example would be BF2.
FixMaddenFranchise is nothing at all like what occurred with BF2. Not even close. Financially, lawfully, geopolitically, Disney, only on an entirely different level. Yeah I mean it kinda is. Big fan revolt. EA panicks. Disney has involved. I mean that they hear if it gets bad enough. Which it is. NFL is not becoming involved with this. There's absolutely no legal exposure for EA. NFL isn't concerned. Hell, the discontent was string prior to the renewed EA's exclusivity and it did not stop them from giving it straight back into EA. Well they've never made a public announcement like this before. Whilst this is apparently a favorable indication, please temper expectation and adhere to any firearms you're sticking to. Current-gen discs of Madden 21 are in or very much at the can. Devs will be working on critical Day One Patch problems up till a week or two before launch date.However, for a Next gen update when compared with what 2k did for NBA2k, this is really very unsatisfactory unless gameplay carries an insane step ahead. But we're still missing out on a ton of Franchise and Superstar attributes we should have by now, particularly on Next Gen. That is 100% a wait and see from me. Madden 21 has not shown enough for me to purchase it yet. Might wait for it to be free on Gamepass from the new year. This is not new; this is EA placing one thing back in the game that should have always been there.
Playing 2k on the PS5 the past couple days I am just hoping the madden games load in as fast as 2k. It takes like 5 minutes from selecting your staff for to tip off. It takes longer to get through the push any button display in madden then it requires to get my very first bucket in a match of 2k while starting the games up. Jumped into my very first 2K game now and holy crap, that loading time is surreal. It's based off animation and the shoulder pads. Footwork is cheap Madden nfl 21 coins dreadful. But I guess when my rb trips over his toes or a lineman's shadow his shoulders will be square...
