One of the remakes for Live a Live is set to be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch in July, while a remake of Dragon Quest III is currently being worked on D2R items cheap. There are a number of other games which could benefit from this style, and it will be fascinating to observe exactly what Square Enix does with HD-2D in the future. While the company has clearly committed to this style of graphic, Asano went on to declare that there isn't a yet a "definitive guideline," and it will continue to change as games change.
"We haven't put together anything like that. The way it's expressed differs for each film, meaning that the HD-2D experience will differ slightly each time. With Live A Live for example the mood in the prehistoric portion will be different to the sci-fi tale.
Our variety of expressions has been widened by the innovative concepts we've come up with. "While the price might be prohibitive for some designers, HD-2D has certainly become a point of sale for a lot of gamers. We hope to watch Square Enix find new ways to enhance the look to make more games to be released!
