Wrath of the Lich King Classic will bring the balance of the class to the level it was at the close of the expansion's time as it was in the previous expansions WOTLK Classic Gold. This ensures all the classes -- particularly the massively overpowered Death Knight hero class introduced in Wrath of the Lich King -- are operating at their intended power levels.
One of the biggest choices World of Warcraft had to decide on was what to do with its old Classic servers. When the game was developing Classic Two groups of players came into play. "There were people who wanted to go back and progress through the expansions again," Birmingham explained, "And an additional group of players who would like the game as it was. We'd like to make sure we honour the commitment to both groups."
Because of this, World of Warcraft Classic is keeping the Vanilla server to time, while simultaneously advancing all the Burning Crusade servers to Wrath of the Lich King in the event that it becomes live. Of course.
The Vanilla Classic server will continue to relive the events of Seasons of Mastery to ensure it does not become stale or World of Warcraft Classic could consider doing Season of Mastery servers with other expansions like Burning Crusade and other past expansions if there's demand for it.
The range and complexity of World of Warcraft varies greatly with each expansion pack which includes Wrath of the Lich King is no different. What started out as a basic Vanilla Legacy server will continue to grow in its scope as World of Warcraft Classic continues to exist buy WOTLK Classic Gold. This begs the question as to the future of World of Warcraft Classic.
