Seamlessly integrate elements from RuneScape into their games

Games aren't allowed to make mistakes no more RuneScape Gold. Titanfall 2 isn't getting the funding it needs to improve its online play on PC. Anthem was canceled midway through the development of its major overhaul. Fable Legends was pulled before it even had the chance to launch. You either must be Fortnite, or die trying.

A developer's passion may be completely irrelevant to a publisher as well. Dragon Age 4 has been repeatedly canceled due to higher-up interference constantly dictating the game's direction. Metal Gear players who obviously prefer single-player games, got the co-op title Metal Gear Survive in 2018. This isn't even to get into all of the affiliates Activision Blizzard wastes on constant Call of Duty development.

Thank god Jagex started at a moment that it was able to remain an independent. If the player base had begun to stagnate in the early 2000s it is likely that a publisher would have shut down the entire thing. It's true that Raven Software started laying people off in the midst of Warzone was making billions of dollars, and even a successful game could be a disaster for the human beings behind the game.

The success stories we do see are often just exceptions to the rule sometimes. The stars had to align for Among Us to find its fan base even after it was released and perhaps the best case before that without having the assistance of a massive publisher was Undertale earlier in 2017.

It's the reason RuneScape The Initial 20 Years isn't just essential reading for any fans of games, but also for those who are interested in what direction gaming world is moving towards runescape 07 gold. It's a reminder to us that we need to support the indie gaming scene which is constantly competing to be noticed in a vast marketplace.
