The enhancements made to Face of the Franchise are essential, particularly in the event that EA plans to develop their career modes. Recently, Mut 25 coins and SDS have achieved much more of implementing MyCareer as well as Road to the Show in contrast to Madden's career mode, so it'll be fascinating to see if it closes the gap. I'm not sure as it seems that this mode is going to be a reversion to the classic franchise mode as it did the last time, so there's a chance that it's going to fail yet again.
In the wake of Gridiron Notes from yesterday describing Face of the Franchise and "classic" Franchise, the rubber finally touched the road in a sense. What do you think of the new additions and backlash?
Chase Becotte: Although I'm not shocked to see an issue like FixFranchiseMode start to gain momentum, the amount of outrage must be addressed as it is coming from many directions. For starters, there's EA who made a statement in the past year that franchise mode would remain a priority for the foreseeable future. In the event that the argument is that Face of the Franchise counts under this scope, then the truth isn't as obvious. The problem with the single-player-focused journeys they're not good enough.
Longshot was the most successful attempt to create the Madden story mode. it has some great moments, however it was also not praised for having engaging gameplay. Longshot 2 had a less engaging story, but it didn't provide enough improvements in terms of gameplay. In contrast, last year's QB1 had a great beginning but then it quickly slowed out. That's right, EA hasn't nailed the innovative product they're trying to market to the public and at the same time absconding with normal franchise mode while doing it. They're not offering an exciting one-year adventure, and certainly they're not providing an engaging year-to-year select an adventure. This means they're not an linear buy madden coins game as well as an RPG, at the same time.
