This year's World of Warcraft expansion will be announced on April 19th, with the official unveiling of WoTLK Gold the Blizzard's World of Warcraft mobile game due in May. Additional details regarding the new expansion are scarce, with Blizzard in a blog post only stating that they're "excited to share with you the work we've been doing and where your adventures in Azeroth are headed."
The last part of the final quest for players in the current Shadowlands expansion, called the Sepulcher of the First Ones which will be available on in March. Blizzard would not let players play the final battle in the game's test world, which means that boss mechanics and other plot details (including suggestions on the story's direction will go next) remain a mystery.
Based on past comments from Blizzard fans have speculated that the next expansion will return players to Azeroth following the cosmic afterlife adventure of Shadowlands. Normally the game's next expansion is revealed long before the last raid in the present expansion since Blizzard usually announces new content at their Annual BlizzCon annual event held in November. In 2021. however, there was the first BlizzConline event, with something similar scheduled for 2022's beginning. That ultimately didn't come to pass, with this year's BlizzCon canceled for reasons likely such as the current COVID-19 pandemic and the latest sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuits. Blizzard has confirmed it will not be taking all the time that is normally allocated in organizing the event to instead imagine its future.
The mobile version of Blizzard's World of Warcraft game has been in development for a while now. What it'll be is not clear, however Blizzard has made the key distinction that the game will be set within the World of Warcraft universe but it doesn't appear to be directly tied to World of Warcraft proper.
WoW Classic Files imply Wrath Of The Lich King Classic Could be In The Works
World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic and WoW Classic Season of Mastery are both on the go however, if new files that reference that game's Wrath of the Lich King expansion show any signs it's not too long before Blizzard provides yet another option to allow players to go back to the game's glory days.
According to MMO-Champion, an updated Burning Crusade Classic build pushed onto the game's patch server suggests the possibility that Wrath of the Lich King Classic could be on the approach. A new folder for files has been discovered within the game's client called "Interface-Wrath" that includes changes specific to buy WoTLK Classic Gold Wrath of the Lich King. Wrath of the Lich King expansion, like support for the brand new Deathknight class in the character creation screen and blue buttons for the interface on the login screen.
